WHAT IS?
Web accessibility means that people with disabilities may be able to perceive, understand, navigate, interact and contribute to the web. For persons with disabilities and limited mobility, accessibility means an independent life with full participation in all aspects; and for all people, in different contexts, it can provide greater comfort, ease of use, agility, satisfaction, security and efficiency (W3C Brazil). In other words, it is essential for the web to be accessible, and for it to promote equal access and opportunities for people with different capabilities.
On the internet, the term accessibility also refers to W3C recommendations which aim to promote access for all, to sites, may the person possess a disability or not. These recommendations refer to font color and size, location of clickable links, ease of access to content availability and other suggestions concerning even the code used in the pages (HTML and CSS, among others).
Suape's platform was developed in order to offer its content to persons with or without disabilities. The accessibility items placed at the site's footer contains font variation buttons (to increase it, decrease it and/or return to standard sizes); and the Automatic Contrast button, which alters the colors' tones in order to enhance the content rather than the screen's background.
Below may be found the links that might be useful for the users in order to facilitate the site's navigation.
