Suape is strategically located in relation
to the main maritime navigation lanes connecting
it to more than 160 ports on all continents
and placing it in the ideal position of
being the main hub port of the Southern
Atlantic.
The Suape Port and Industrial
Complex is 40km south of Recife (PE) in
the municipalities of Ipojuca and Cabo
de Santo Agostinho. The port is the only
entrance and exit for the whole Northeast
Region, which is a consumer market with
50 million inhabitants and a gross internal
product of US$ 110 billion.
Suape occupies
an extensive area of 13,500 hectares. To
guaranty orderly growth and facilitate
administration, the complex was divided
into port, industrial, administrative,
environmental preservation and cultural
zones.
