totaling 37.5 MVA, supplied by a 300 MVA
substation. A thermoelectric plant with
a generation capacity of 523 MW is in its
implantation phase and is expected to begin
operations at the end of 2004.

Access Roads and Railways
Suape has a network
of internal roads of around 41km in extension
and excellent technical-operational characteristics
allowing the circulation of cargo from
the piers to the terminals and industries.
The internal roads allow direct links to
the main federal and state road systems
through controlled access points, two on
the state road PE-60 and one on PE-28.
The railway system, embedded in concrete
with TR45 tracks and metric measurements,
is connected to the national railway system
by way of lines operated by the Northeast
Railway Company concessionary.
